Nature Inspired Youth Summer Art Program

Youth Program Ages 8–16

Dates: Session 1: Mon-Thurs, July 27 to July 30, Session 2: Mon-Thursday. Aug 3 to Aug 6
Time: 10 to 11:30 each day

Sign up for one or both sessions. Different projects each week. We will make projects that are inspired by nature, and some that are made with objects from the nature that surrounds us here in Cambria.

Some of these projects are: 

  • Nature journaling with Greenspace
  • Painting Monterey Pines with watercolors
  • Crafting handmade paper with embedded seeds that can be planted
  • Some surprise projects!

Youth Scarecrow Workshop - Decorate a Fish

Youth Program ages 6-14

Thursday August 27, 2026 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Cambria Center for the Arts - Conference Room

Decorate your own fish for the Cambria Scarecrow Festival using various materials such as jewels and foam stickers. Their fish will be on display for the entire month of October.

Teacher: Laura Jones

This workshop is free for Cambria and San Simeon youths in grades 1-8. Donations are appreciated.

Youth Arts Classes Schedule

FREE 60-minute monthly arts classes during the school year. Four 90-minute weekly “Summer Splash into the Arts” classes during the summer. All classes taught by SLO County artists and performers. All materials will be provided at no cost to participants.

When: Held on the fourth Thursday of each month during the school year (schedule may change because of holidays) from 3:30 to 4:30.

Where: Cambria Center for the Arts classrooms/theatre at 1350 Main St., Cambria.
