1350 Main St, Cambria

Audition for one or both of our upcoming productions!

RIPCORD by David Lindsey-Abaire.  Directed by Jean Miller

This is a staged reading. Actors on script.  Performances will be Feb. 23-24.  Only 8 rehearsals.

Jean is looking for 3 men and 3 women.

Abby:   70s-80s

Marilyn:    70s-80s

Scotty:     20s-30s

3 actors (2 men, 1 woman)  of any age to play a variety of characters

A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden.

In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and four or five weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. This is a charming comedy full of warmth and compassion.  An American classic.
